Jay Bruns, Organist

JayBrunsJay was Creative Director of Photography at the former Dayton’s Department Stores and since 1989 has worked as an Independent Production Designer and has designed a multitude of sets appearing in ads, editorials and TV commercials for many local and national home furnishings manufacturers and retailers.


A favorite gathering place for friends, Jay’s garden in south Minneapolis has been featured in several magazines and continues to be a source of wonder to his cat, Amelia.


Ben Dyleuth, Interim Choir Director

Ben is a recent graduate of St. Olaf College. He received a bachelor's in music education and performed three tours with The St. Olaf Choir to Texas, Washington DC, Japan, and South Korea between 2015-2017. Ben is originally from the Greater New York City area and has worked as an assistant choir director at Highbridge Voices (The Bronx, New York) and guest conductor at Catholic Junior College (Novena, Singapore). Additional work experience includes being a tour guide at the United States Military Academy (West Point, New York) and marketing assistant under Blue Note Entertainment (Manhattan, New York). In his free time Ben enjoys running, cooking, and teaching private music lessons.


 

NicoleUrbachNicole Urbach, Director of Faith Formation

Nicole attended The University of Chicago Divinity School, fell in love with the UCC, and served several communities as chaplain and pastor in the Chicago area before making her way back home to Minnesota. She has always gravitated towards children, youth, families, and young adults, and appreciates the elastic, fluid, and dynamic faith of our young people. Nicole believes that kind, loving, and supportive adults (parent and non-parent alike) are essential to the spiritual well-being and resilience of our young people.


Stacey Gassman, Office & Building Manager

Stacey brings a broadly diverse vocational background to her work to Lynnhurst. She earned her B.A. in vocal performance and theater and her Master of Divinity degree from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL. She has a strong background in theatre, administration and church work.


Prior to joining the staff at Lynnhurst, she held a variety of administrative positions and was an Associate Minister with a sister UCC church in Minneapolis. Stacey is also a fiber artist, selling her work around the Twin Cities. She enjoys art, swing dancing, kayaking, reading and social and environmental activism.
