Weddings

A wedding ceremony is a way of recognizing the relationship that exists between two people. In planning for your wedding, we can help you in creating a service that combines music, the written word, the spoken word, cultural traditions and specific requests in such a way that reflects both who you are and the relationship that has grown between you. It will truly be your own service. While the wedding ceremony often is used to meet the expectation of the state of Minnesota in terms of legally being married, it is seen in this church as primarily being a service of worship, where God is asked to be involved in a special way in the blessing of a marriage.

Here at Lynnhurst, we have an open religious community where we seek to welcome all people equally and fully. As such, people of diverse backgrounds and faith perspectives are welcome here. If you’ve been turned away by other faith communities or felt there just wasn’t room for you in other churches, then you may find Lynnhurst to be the right place for your special day. We are grounded in Christian tradition and scripture, but we also believe in being flexible and open to new ideas and revelations from the Holy Spirit.
