Lynnhurst Gallery ![]() Lynnhurst is proud to have the opportunity to display the work of many local and nationally-shown artists. Lynnhurst’s art gallery, located in the Fellowship Hall, is a beautiful showcase for a wide variety of art pieces, including sculpture, paintings, photography, installations and 3-dimensional constructions. The exhibits typically run for two months, and artists provide a walk-through and answers questions when their show opens. ![]()
Now Showing: The Lynnhurst UCC Music and Arts Board is pleased to present Connected by Nature, an exhibit of paintings by artist Mary Lingen of Backus, MN. Her impressionistic style creates differing viewing experiences, depending on whether a painting is observed from a distance or close up. Representation and abstraction coexist within the same piece of art. Mary is inspired by walking in the woods "...and seeing the world around me, observing its changes, looking forward to the way the light looks at certain times... It is a place that I know well and yet it often seems a strange land to me, as if I’ve never been there before.” Her focus is on the complexity within the landscape, and on connecting the parts into a whole. The exhibit will be on display in the Fellowship Hall Art Gallery from February 5 through March 31, 2012.
